To better
understand autism
You surely meet autistic people in the different spheres of your life… perhaps often without knowing it.
Better understanding autism is a first step in promoting the acceptance of autistic people and countering their stigmatization in society.

To communicate well about autism
If you work in the media, you can help reduce the stigma towards autistic people.
The stigmatization of autistic people increases when knowledge about autism is insufficient and when society maintains a lack of knowledge with regard to their particularities and their needs.
Informing about stigma is therefore the first step in improving the situation of autistic people and their families in society.
Using autism-friendly terminology also helps. For example, it’s better to speak of the “autistic person” rather than using terms such as “with autism”, “living with”, “having a disorder”, “affected by” or “suffering from”.
We offer you tools to communicate about autism without stigma.
